On May 13, the first semifinal of the 69th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Basel, Switzerland. Representatives of 15 countries performed on stage, but not all of them reached the final.
According to the results of the audience voting, the following countries have qualified for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025:
- Norway: Kyle Alessandro – Lighter.
- Albania: Shkodra Elektronike – Zjerm.
- Sweden: KAJ – Bara Bada Bastu.
- Iceland: Væb – Róa.
- Netherlands: Claude – C’est La Vie.
- Poland: Justyna Steczkowska – Gaja.
- San Marino: Gabry Ponte – Tutta l’Italia.
- Estonia: Tommy Cash – Espresso Macchiato.
- Portugal: Napa – Deslocado.
- Ukraine: Ziferblat – Bird of Pray.
The Big Five countries also automatically qualify for the finals: Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, as well as the winning country, Switzerland.
Slovenia, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Croatia, and Cyprus dropped out of the competition.
The first semifinal took place on May 13, the second on May 15, and the grand final will be held in Basel on May 17.
