The American Recording Academy has released the list of nominees for the prestigious annual music awards, the Grammys, which will be presented in 2026.
It is noted that the “2026 Grammys” ceremony will be held on Sunday, February 1, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The Recording Academy officially published the full list of contenders in 95 categories of the award, which marked the beginning of this year’s Grammy season and preparation for the so-called “biggest night in music” – the evening ceremony of the awarding.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar leads the 2026 Grammys nominations for the second year in a row with nine nominations, beating pop superstar Lady Gaga with seven.
In addition to Lamar’s “GNX” and Lady Gaga’s “MAYHEM,” Bad Bunny’s Spanish-language album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” Justin Bieber’s “Swag,” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” are up for best album. Two other rap albums are also nominated in the category: Tyler, the Creator’s “Chromakopia” and Clipse, Pusha T & Malice’s “Let God Sort Em Out.”
Olivia Dean and KATSEYE will compete with Leon Thomas, Alex Warren, and others for the best new artist award.
It is reported that the 2026 Grammys will feature two new categories – “Best Traditional Country Album” and “Best Album Cover.”
