Matthew Perry, the star of the TV series Friends, received a massive dose of a narcotic drug shortly before his death. This information was presented in the new documentary film Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy”, which is taken from the results of the examinations.
Thus, according to a toxicological study, a “high level of ketamine” was found in the actor’s body, which he could have received as a result of 27 injections of the drug.
“You have a doctor, Salvador Plascencia, who prescribes ketamine to an assistant who lives with Perry, who has no medical training. And this assistant himself prescribes ketamine to a man whose risk factors are off the charts,” commented Martin Estrada, a former United States attorney who prosecuted the American actor until his resignation in January 2025.
It is noted that at the beginning of the drug use, the actor had an adverse reaction – lethargy. And although Dr. Plascencia knew that Perry was “frozen,” he “did nothing about it.”
“He continued to supply ketamine to Mr. Perry’s assistant, who then administered it to him,” Estrada adds.
Eventually, the assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, injected the actor with a dose of ketamine, which led to his death. The drug was provided by Jaswyn Sanga, a woman better known as the “Queen of Ketamine.”
According to the plea agreement concluded by Iwamasa with the US Department of Justice, he injected Matthew Perry with six to eight doses of ketamine per day.
