Adobe has unveiled a new free Photoshop app for smartphones running iOS. An Android version is due later this year.

Previously, the popular photo editing program was officially available only for computers, writes technology media 9to5Google. The app integrates with the web version, and users can combine and edit photos, graphics, etc., from Adobe Stock.

The free version offers precise selection tools, unlimited layers, and masks. In addition, users can try the generative AI Adobe Firefly. Photoshop, available in the App Store, allows editing photos from other company services, such as Lightroom. The app supports the import and export of high-quality images for this purpose.

Adobe also announced a new premium subscription plan in the mobile app. By purchasing it, users can continue editing their files in the browser with the AI functions Generate Similar and Reference Image. They will have access to 20 thousand exclusive fonts and new tools.

The plan will cost $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year. However, all current Photoshop subscriptions, including the desktop version, also provide access to the advanced features of the mobile app and browser version.
