Beyoncé has won her first Emmy Award as the Television Academy announced the first wave of winners of the 77th ceremony in special categories, and a global star was among them.
The singer was recognized not for her music, but for her work on the costumes for the 2024 NFL halftime show, which will be released on Netflix under the name Beyoncé Bowl. The award was the result of a collaboration with designer Shiona Turini, assistants Erica Rice and Molly Peters, supervisor Chelsea Stabell, and studio manager Timothy White.
She won in the category “Best Costumes for a Variety, Documentary or Reality Program” — a category from the so-called Emmy jury block, which recognizes specialists in highly specialized fields. These laureates are traditionally announced in advance to draw attention to their work.

The awards ceremony will take place on September 6-7 at the Creative Arts Emmy, and on September 14 during the main broadcast of Primetime, Beyoncé will find out whether she will receive an Emmy for another nomination – “Best Variety Show”.
The Beyoncé Bowl was filmed in Houston and became a real spectacle: in a cowboy hat and riding a horse, the artist performed songs from the album Cowboy Carter – 16 Carriages, Ya Ya, Jolene, Texas Hold ’Em, and also performed with Post Malone, Shabuzy, and her own daughter.
