Bitcoin under pressure: price drops to $60,000

Bitcoin hits all-time high again

On Friday, February 6, Bitcoin briefly dropped to $60,268 before rebounding to over $65,000. This is according to CoinMarketCap data.

As of this morning, the price of the first cryptocurrency was around $66,370. The asset lost 6% in a day and almost 20% in a week. Recall that in October 2025, Bitcoin reached a peak of $126,080. That is, Bitcoin has fallen by 47% from its historical maximum.

Ethereum has fallen below $2,000 and is currently trading at $1,954. Other cryptocurrencies with the largest market capitalization have also shown declines.
