British rock band Oasis hints at a comeback after 15 years of silence

One of the most successful rock bands of the 90s, Oasis, has posted a video on its official X page that hints at a reunion this Tuesday: first, it shows the date “27.08.2024” and then the inscription “8 am”.

The captions on the video are reproduced in the classic Oasis style and font. The post was reposted by the band members Liam and Noel Gallagher.

The BBC, citing a Sunday Times report, says that the band has planned several concerts in 2025. In particular, they want to perform 10 times at London’s Wembley Stadium, breaking the record of American singer Taylor Swift, who performed there eight times.

In June, Liam Gallagher began a tour dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut studio album “Definitely Maybe”. A new re-release of the album is expected on August 30.

Oasis was founded in Manchester in 1991. Its leaders were the Gallagher brothers: Noel, the guitarist and author of most of the songs, and his younger brother Liam, the lead vocalist. Oasis existed for 17 years and broke up in 2009 due to the difficult relationship between Noel and Liam. Noel Gallagher was the first to leave the band.
