For the second year in a row, BTS took home the top AMA award for Artist of the Year. The group beat out Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga thanks to fan voting.
The seven-member South Korean group BTS won the “Artist of the Year” award at the American Music Awards (AMA) for the second year in a row, cementing their status as one of the world’s biggest bands.
This award, considered the ceremony’s top prize, is just another jewel in the crown of the so-called kings of K-pop, who have been on a $1 billion world tour since their return from a nearly four-year hiatus in March.
