OpenAI has launched a new feature in ChatGPT called “Year in Review.” It allows users to see a personalized overview of how they used the AI chatbot throughout 2025.
The service generates a summary of the most popular communication topics, along with basic statistics: the day with the most activity, the total number of chats, the total number of messages sent, and other usage indicators.
In addition, ChatGPT determines the user’s individual interaction style – based on writing or speaking – and assigns a so-called “archetype” that reflects the main scenarios for using the chatbot.
The “Year in Review” also includes creative elements: a short poem, a symbolic “award” for the year, and a forecast for the next period.
To get a personalized overview, users need to enter the request in the application: “Show me my year in ChatGPT.”
The feature is only available to those who have chat history turned on. It currently works in the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.
