ChatGPT has its own search engine

OpenAI to launch the latest AI model, Orion

OpenAI has launched its own search engine, ChatGPT Search. It is already available for ChatGPT Plus and Team users and will be launched for all users later.

The search engine appears in the text field for common queries. It immediately searches for the necessary information and then offers links to sources. Moreover, the search engine allows you to formulate queries more naturally and conversationally.

OpenAI cooperates with major media companies, including the Associated Press, Reuters, Le Monde, The Atlantic, Time, and Vox Media. Therefore, ChatGPT replies now contain links to sources that can be opened by clicking the “Sources” button below the answer.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said that the search function has been his favorite feature since ChatGPT was launched. The company claims that users will now be able to search for information in a “natural and intuitive way” and ask additional questions in a dialog with artificial intelligence.

The search is available on all ChatGPT platforms: iOS, Android, and desktop applications for macOS and Windows.
