China Leads the Global Ranking of Billionaires

According to the analytical company Hurun, China has become the leader in the number of billionaires worldwide, surpassing the United States of America. 75% of Chinese billionaires were not listed a decade ago, reflecting rapid wealth growth in the country and a corresponding shift on the global wealth map.

The USA ranks second as a major hub of global capital. With a thousand billionaires, the country showcases advanced capital markets, a robust technology sector, and an enduring tradition of entrepreneurship. The USA accounts for approximately a quarter of the world’s billionaire population. It hosts numerous individuals with wealth exceeding $ 30 million.

India ranks third with 308 billionaires, significantly ahead of Germany, which ranks fourth. The rise in the number of billionaires in India is attributed to the expansion of the consumer market, technological advancements, and an industrial base, along with a large population and growing collective wealth, which together could fuel further growth.

In Europe, the countries with the most billionaires are Germany (171) and the United Kingdom (150). Switzerland stands out for having 114 billionaires despite its smaller population. Russia, Italy, and France also feature in this billionaire list.
