Our editors have prepared interesting tips on Courchevel – where to go, why, and what experienced tourists recommend.

Courchevel: how to get there?
The world’s most famous and exclusive ski resort, Courchevel, is located in the French Alps, in the heart of the Tarentaise Valley (Savoie department), in Saint-Bon-Tarentaise. It was founded in 1946 on the site of the former village of Courchevel and now comprises four main areas: Le Pra (1300m), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850.
Courchevel is located near the borders of Switzerland and Italy on three valleys surrounded on all sides by Alpine mountains and is part of the Three Valleys ski area.

The fastest and most convenient way to get to Courchevel is by air from Paris, Milan, Geneva, or the nearest town to the resort, Chambéry. Courchevel itself also has an airport, but due to its short runway and the geographical and climatic features of the region, it is one of the most dangerous in the world, so only very experienced pilots can work on it.
