Former England captain David Beckham has made his name in Hollywood history. The legendary athlete has become the first footballer to receive a personal star on the famous Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.
His wife Victoria, sons Romeo and Cruz, daughter Harper, as well as close family friends Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria, James Corden, former footballer Robbie Keane, and other star guests came to support Sir Beckham at the ceremony. And the Beckhams’ eldest son, Brooklyn, once again ignored his family’s landmark event.
During the event, David did not hide his emotions. In his speech, he admitted that this event was one of the most special in his life. According to David, one of his main inspirations has always been the legendary basketball player Michael Jordan.
The footballer received this prestigious award thanks to the work of his production company, Studio 99, which has produced several successful documentary projects.
But the decisive factor in this recognition was Beckham’s outstanding sports career: he became the champion of England six times with Manchester United, won the championships of Spain and France with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, and also conquered the Champions League in 1999. The footballer played 115 matches for the England national team and twice led the team to the World Cup as captain. And today, David continues to work actively in the sports industry. He is a co-owner of the football club Inter Miami, for which Lionel Messi plays.
