Former Spice Girls member Melanie Chisholm, better known as Mel C, got married for the first time. The 52-year-old singer’s chosen one was Australian producer and model Chris Dingwall.
The lovers first officially registered their marriage in Australia, and then held a small wedding celebration in the UK. The ceremony took place at the country residence of the couple’s friends in Cumbria, amidst the picturesque landscapes of northern England. The newlyweds deliberately refused a magnificent celebration, preferring a relaxed and elegant atmosphere in the circle of their closest friends.

For a special day, Mel C chose a laconic ivory dress, created especially for her by Victoria Beckham. The outfit with a draped neckline, open back, delicate train and vintage lace emphasized the restrained aesthetics of the celebration.

Interestingly, for the official ceremony in Australia, the singer wore another dress from Victoria – from the designer’s personal wardrobe. So it became a symbolic “something borrowed” in the bride’s wedding look. Victoria Beckham herself was unable to attend the celebration, as she and her husband, David, were in the USA during the World Cup.
Among the guests were Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Halliwell-Gorner, so the wedding became almost a full-fledged Spice Girls reunion.

Mel C and Chris Dingwall met in 2023 on the dating app Raya. At that time, the singer lived in the UK, and her future husband in Australia. The distance did not become an obstacle to their relationship, and the following year the couple first appeared together in public. Chris made a marriage proposal in the summer of 2025 while on holiday in Mallorca.
