On the night of January 8, the 81st Golden Globe Awards took place in Los Angeles. This year, the winners were announced in 27 categories.
Oppenheimer by Christopher Nolan was expected to win Best Drama, and he was also named Best Director. Cillian Murphy, who played the lead role in the movie, was recognized as the Best Actor in a Dramatic Role. In “Comedy or Musical,” “Les Miserables” by Yorgos Lanthimos won, and Emma Stone was named the best actress.


Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner attracted particular attention. The “Wonka” star was nominated for his work as the best actor in a comedy or musical but lost the award to Paul Giamatti. Timothy is wearing a Celine outfit. For Jenner, the ceremony was the first appearance as Timothy Chalamet’s official girlfriend. Her outfit is a vintage Hanae Mori.

Paul Giamatti won the Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical for The Departed. Meanwhile, Giamatti’s co-star in The Departed, Dwayne Joy Randolph, won Best Supporting Actress. She came to the ceremony in a Rodarte dress.
Justine Triet, director and screenwriter of Grey’s Anatomy, received awards for both the film’s screenplay and the best international film.

The Golden Globe is an American film award presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, established in 1944, for exceptional achievements in the film and television industry. The Golden Globe Awards herald the beginning of the season of various film awards and prizes, which usually culminate in the Oscar ceremony (this year will be held on March 10). Traditionally, the awards are presented after a vote by 86 leading journalists specializing in Hollywood.
Nowadays, the Golden Globe is one of the most prestigious awards in the American film industry.
