The 51st Cesar National Film Awards ceremony was held in Paris recently, during which the legendary actor Jim Carrey received an honorary award for outstanding contribution to cinema.
The 64-year-old Hollywood actor rarely appears in public, so he was the main star of the evening. On stage, Carrey thanked the audience for the award in French, wittily commented on his own pronunciation, and mentioned his family’s French roots.
The ceremony was also special for Carrey because he appeared on the red carpet accompanied by his closest friends: his daughter, granddaughter, and his beloved, an actress and artist from Los Angeles named Minzy.
