Hollywood actor John Travolta has decided to try his hand at directing. He is ready to present his first work on the big screen.
The film Propeller: One-Way Night Coach is based on Travolta’s 1997 book of the same name. The actor has been mulling a film adaptation for years, and only now has it been fully realized, reports Variety.
The 72-year-old movie star will present his debut film at the Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 12 to 23 this year.
The film will not compete for the main awards. Still, it will be included in the prestigious out-of-competition Cannes Premiere program.
And at the end of May, the film will be available on Apple TV+.
The film’s plot follows a boy named Jeff, who loves airplanes. Together with his mother, he sets off on a journey across the country — and it is this adventure that becomes defining for him, influencing his later life.
