After a long break, Johnny Depp is returning to the big screen. Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer and poster for the film “Ebenezer,” starring the actor. This is his first major project since his high-profile lawsuit with ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022.
The film is a reimagining of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol” combined with the atmosphere of a psychological thriller.
Depp plays the legendary miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who must confront the ghosts of Christmas and completely change his life course. In the trailer, Scrooge is haunted by eerie spirits from the past, present, and future, forcing him to look into his own eyes.
The film is directed by Ty West. Joining Johnny Depp in the cast are Ian McKellen, Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Sam Claflin, and Andrea Riseborough.
The film is scheduled for release on November 13.
