The organizers of the 2026 FIFA World Cup have announced the first-ever halftime show during the final match, set to take place on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Canadian singer Justin Bieber has been unveiled as one of the headline performers, as confirmed by FIFA and the global organization Global Citizen.
The 11-minute program will be presented in a format similar to Super Bowl halftime shows, with Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay, acting as the curator. Justin Bieber joins the already announced lineup of Madonna, Shakira, and BTS as the fourth principal performer.
In addition to expressing gratitude for the opportunity to join the event to expand global access to education, the performer will share the stage with Nigerian artist Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, and the PS22 Chorus from Staten Island, who will perform alongside Coldplay.
Organizers emphasize the show’s charitable essence, which supports the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund and aims to raise $ 100 million to provide quality education and football programs for children. It was also revealed that one dollar from each ticket sold during the tournament will be allocated to this fund.
