Oscar-winning director Christopher Nolan has been knighted by King Charles III of Great Britain. The knighthood ceremony for his contribution to the film industry occurred at Buckingham Palace.
In addition, Nolan’s wife, producer Emma Thomas, was knighted a Dame. In his speech, the director noted that it was surprising that the monarch had watched his film, Oppenheimer.
