King Charles III of Great Britain has announced a documentary project for Netflix in collaboration with British actor Idris Elba, star of The Long Road to Freedom and Three Thousand Years of Longing.
The film is about The King’s Trust, a charity founded in 1976 by Charles III, then Prince Charles. Since then, the foundation has been helping young people from vulnerable communities.
The actor himself was one of those whom Charles III’s The King’s Trust helped to develop. At the time, it provided Elba with funds for professional education. Now, according to Deadline, the artist wants to tell the story of the organization’s work on the streaming service Netflix.
The film is scheduled for 2026.
