American pop icon Lady Gaga has entered the Guinness Book of Records for her May 3 concert in Rio de Janeiro. Her performance is officially recognized as the most attended concert by a female musician in history. This information appeared on the Guinness World Records website.

The 39-year-old star’s concert on Copacabana Beach attracted more than 2.5 million fans and added $105.8 million to the local economy.

The singer’s performance was the first in 13 years in Brazil and was completely free. Interestingly, Lady Gaga broke Madonna’s record and gathered 1.6 million spectators in the same place a year ago.
