French fashion house Louis Vuitton has introduced the Sac Œuf Jaune Easter chocolate bag. It was created by pastry chef Maxime Frederic for the brand’s signature chocolate shop in Paris.
The product is part of the La Collection de Pâques Easter line. The so-called “chocolate egg bag” is an edible interpretation of the bag model that Louis Vuitton’s women’s creative director, Nicolas Ghesquière, showed on the catwalk during the spring-summer 2019 collection.
The chocolate bag weighs 1,050 grams. According to the brand, it combines elements of fashion design and confectionery art.
The bag is made of two dark chocolate shells. Inside, it is filled with a mixture of roasted nuts, candied fruits, and nut praline. The bag’s handles and decorative zipper are made of colored white chocolate.
A hidden milk chocolate bar is placed in the center of the product. Its filling consists of nut praline and lemon caramel.
Several types of ingredients were used to create the dessert. The composition includes 31% dark chocolate, 20% milk chocolate, and 17% roasted hazelnuts. Also added are roasted pecans, candied orange, and fleur de sel – a type of sea salt.
Sac Œuf Jaune is sold exclusively at Le chocolat Maxime Frédéric at the Louis Vuitton store in Paris.
