Maria Grazia Chiuri is the new creative director of Fendi

Italian fashion house Fendi has announced the appointment of Maria Grazia Chiuri as creative director. Her debut collection, autumn-winter 2026, will be presented in February at Milan Fashion Week.

For the designer, this is a kind of return to the roots: it was at Fendi that Chiuri began her career back in 1989, where she worked for ten years and became the co-creator of the legendary Baguette bag. For the last eight years, she has been at the helm of Dior, becoming the first woman in the history of the brand to hold this position.

During her time at Dior, Chiuri strengthened the fashion house’s position within the LVMH group, making it synonymous with modern elegance with a feminist accent. Now she faces a new challenge: to rethink Fendi’s DNA, combining the brand’s heritage with a current vision of Italian luxury.
