Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, has signed a deal with Alphabet Inc. worth at least $10 billion to use Google Cloud services over six years, Bloomberg reported.

Sources familiar with the details said the deal involves servers and storage that will give Meta additional computing power in its race to dominate artificial intelligence.

This is Meta’s first major cloud-based deal with Google. The company previously used Google’s solutions in part, but now Google Cloud has officially become an infrastructure partner.

Google officials confirmed the deal but declined to comment on the details. Meta also declined to comment.
