Hollywood actor and producer Michael Douglas announced that he no longer plans to act in films. He announced this during a press conference at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Variety reports.
“I haven’t worked since 2022, probably because I realized that I had to stop,” the 80-year-old actor emphasized.
The winner of two Oscars and one of the most influential actors of his generation, Douglas has admitted to being actively involved in the film industry for 60 years. Still, now he feels that time is coming to an end. According to him, he does not want to be one of those who literally “dies on the set.”
At the same time, Michael noted that he could appear in the frame again to embody a truly exceptional script. However, he does not really believe that such an opportunity will arise.
