For decades, royal families in countries with a monarchical form of government have traditionally issued official holiday cards on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays. These cards are given as gifts to everyone who wishes the rulers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
This year’s first card was issued to Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife, Princess Charlene. A photo of the couple with their children, 10-year-old Jacques and Gabrielle, appeared on the Monaco rulers’ official Instagram page.
For the holiday photo, the family chose cozy home images. Prince Albert’s wife posed in a light brown sweater, brown pants, and boots of the same color. Daughter Gabriella wore a white sweater and pants, which she complemented with gold shoes. Jacques wore a beige sweater and black pants.
The prince also supported the color scheme and wore a white sweater, a checkered light brown shirt, and dark pants. They all posed in front of a festively decorated fireplace and Christmas tree.
