Kerry Taylor Auction and Maurice Auction will hold a special auction on January 27, 2025, featuring only items designed by Martin Margiela.
Thus, on the first day of Paris Fashion Week on the Boulevard Voltaire, more than 300 items from the designer’s early collections — from 1988 to 1994 — will be auctioned off. Among the interesting items is an ensemble with a curtain skirt from the fall-winter 1991 collection, which costs from 2500 to 3500 euros, as well as a turquoise woolen sweater from the same collection, estimated at 2000 to 4000 euros.

Among the rare items of clothing from this period up for auction are a jacket, vest, and tie from 1988, as well as a folder with 70 original hand-drawn sketches from the fall 1989 collection.

This will be the largest auction dedicated to Margiela to date.
An exhibition will open at the same location two days before the auction. There, you will be able to see Martin’s works before they are sold.
