The fifth season of Stranger Things has become the most successful English-language launch in Netflix history. In its first five days, the new episodes were watched 59.6 million times — a result that no other English-language series on the service has achieved. This is reported by The Guardian.
This is significantly more views than the fourth season, which in 2022 collected approximately 22 million views in its first days.
Due to the large influx of viewers at the premiere, Netflix briefly froze, even though the company had increased bandwidth in advance.
The creators of the series say the finale will feature the most violent scene in the show’s history.
