Tesla recalls about 700 thousand electric vehicles

Tesla is recalling about 700 thousand Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles and Cybertruck electric pickups.

The company reported that it had detected a malfunction in the tire pressure monitoring system, which, if left unaddressed, increases the risk of an accident. At the same time, a remote software update can solve this problem.

The tire pressure warning light on affected vehicles may not alert the driver of low tire pressure. MarketWatch notes that low tire pressure is a common problem in cold weather conditions.

As of December 13, the manufacturer has received 76 warranty claims and one report from the scene related to the tire pressure control issue.
