The Booker Prize has announced the shortlist of six works that will compete for the award.
It is noted that the jury, led by writer and 1993 Booker Prize winner Roddy Doyle, selected the six nominees from 153 works written in English and published in the UK and Ireland between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025.
The following novels will compete for the award:
- “Flesh” by David Szeley;
- “The Land in Winter” by Andrew Miller;
- “The Rest of Our Lives” by Ben Markowitz;
- “Audition” by Katie Kitamura;
- “The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny” by Kiran Desai;
- “Flashlight” by Susan Choi.
The winner of the Booker Prize will be announced at a ceremony in London on November 10. The winner will receive a cash prize of £50,000. The shortlisted authors will each receive £2,500.
