Former US First Lady Michelle Obama has announced the release of her new book, “The Look,” which is dedicated to personal style and self-expression.
On social networks, Obama admitted that the idea for the book was born from her experience of living in the White House, when her appearance was constantly discussed in the media.
“During our family’s stay in the White House, my appearance was constantly analyzed — what I wore, how I styled my hair. As a black woman, I felt that I had to show my femininity. I have long wanted to return to this story,” Michelle noted.

The book presents not only her own reflections, but also comments from stylists, makeup artists, and friends. The author shares her fashion principles, favorite brands, and habits. In particular, Michelle confesses her love for Missoni x Converse sneakers and Michael Kors sheath dresses.
She also emphasizes that she tried to combine affordable but stylish items in her wardrobe, understanding how many people face financial difficulties.
Despite the book’s scheduled release on November 4, “The Look” has already topped the Amazon ratings in the “Black and African-American Biographies” category, indicating strong reader interest and support.
