Film studio Warner Bros. has officially announced the cast for the spin-off “The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum,” which is set to debut on December 17, 2027. The project features new star performers, including Kate Winslet, Jamie Dornan, known for his role in “Fifty Shades of Grey”, and Leo Woodall, who gained popularity for his roles in “Bridget Jones: Loving the Guy” and “Nuremberg.”

Alongside them, beloved actors from previous installments return to reprise their iconic roles: Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, and Lee Pace. Andy Serkis, who previously portrayed Gollum, takes on the directorial role, with Peter Jackson, the creator of the original trilogy, serving as producer.
The film’s plot will focus on events preceding the main story, particularly Aragorn’s journey, portrayed by Jamie Dornan in place of Viggo Mortensen. Additionally, a new character, Galvard, will be introduced by Leo Woodall.
