Netflix has released the second season of The Squid Game. The plot will focus on the main character, Song Gi Hoon, who won the previous deadly competition but returned to the arena to save others.
Lee Jung-jae plays the main character of Song Gi-hoon. Woo Ha Jung will continue to play a young police officer looking for his brother, and Lee Byung Hong will play the host of the deadly game.
The first season of The Squid Game became the most popular in Netflix’s history. In the first 28 days after its premiere in September 2021, it was watched more than 1.65 billion hours. The series has earned an estimated $837 million.
Squid Game director Hwang Dong-hyuk lost his teeth due to stress while filming the second season. But the final season, the third, will be released in 2025.
