US President Donald Trump has started selling election merchandise with the inscription Trump 2028. He said he wanted to run for a third presidential term, although the US Constitution prohibits it.

On the official Trump Store website, you can buy red caps for $50, T-shirts for $36, and thermal drink cases for $18. The description of the goods reads: “The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules”.
Although Trump has not officially announced his intention to run in the 2028 elections, he has publicly suggested that he do so. Running for a third term would violate the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, which states that “no person shall be elected to the office of President more than twice.”
However, Trump has rejected this idea. In April 2024, he told Time magazine he would not want to run again. Meanwhile, a third of Americans in polls say they do not wish for a third Trump presidency.
