Trump pardons the founder of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance

US President Donald Trump has pardoned Changpeng Zhao, founder of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. This was reported by White House press secretary Caroline Levitt, Reuters reports.

Zhao said in a post on X that he was “deeply grateful for today’s pardon and for President Trump’s support for America’s commitment to fairness, innovation, and justice.”

While details of the pardon have not yet been released, it could pave the way for Zhao to return to the business he founded in 2017. It could also allow Binance to expand in the United States as the crypto industry booms under the Trump administration.
