Ubisoft Co-Founder Claude Guillemot Dies in Plane Crash in France

On June 19, near the La Baule Airport in France, a light aircraft, the Cessna 421, which had departed from Rennes, crashed. Tragically, both individuals onboard lost their lives, including 69-year-old Claude Guillemot, co-founder of Ubisoft and president of Guillemot Corporation, as well as the owner of the aircraft. Rescue teams reported that upon their arrival, the plane was engulfed in flames, which spread to the surrounding vegetation. Ubisoft confirmed the passing of its co-founder in an official statement and expressed condolences to his family and loved ones. This unfortunate event coincides with other aviation incidents, including the crash of American musician Oliver Tree’s aircraft in Brazil, which claimed six lives.
