The White House has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, calling him the “president of peace,” the White House said in a statement.
Among those who supported the American leader’s candidacy:
- Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan;
- Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev;
- Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet;
- Gabonese President Bris Olighi Nguema;
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu;
- the government of Pakistan;
- Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungire.
