White House officially nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

The White House has nominated US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, calling him the “president of peace,” the White House said in a statement.

Among those who supported the American leader’s candidacy:

  • Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan;
  • Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev;
  • Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet;
  • Gabonese President Bris Olighi Nguema;
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu;
  • the government of Pakistan;
  • Rwandan Foreign Minister Olivier Nduhungire.
