Wizz Air has announced plans to implement Starlink satellite internet on all its flights starting in 2027. This decision comes amid preparations by SpaceX, Starlink’s parent company, for its IPO this week. Previously, Wizz Air’s competitors in the low-cost aviation sector, such as Ryanair and easyJet, raised concerns about the high costs of adopting Starlink technology on aircraft.
Specifically, Ryanair’s CEO, Michael O’Leary, estimated the company’s potential annual costs at approximately $250 million, including additional fuel expenditures.
