After months of testing, analysis, and debate, 86 female drivers from 55 countries on five continents cast their votes to determine the winner of the Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) award.
The overall winner for 2026 was the Nissan Leaf electric car. Also winning in individual categories were:
- Compact car – Nissan Leaf;
- Compact crossover – Skoda Elroq;
- Large car – Mercedes-Benz CLA;
- Large crossover – Hyundai Ioniq 9;
- SUV – Toyota 4Runner;
- Sports car – Lamborghini Temerario;
The award in the category “Best Technology” was given to Renault by a female jury.
Ford was named the most female-friendly brand.
