Yonathan Parienti, founder and CEO of Switzerland-based social network for social good, Horyou.
Yonathan comes to the social impact sector by way of banking and international finance– having graduated from one of the top business schools in France before working at major banking groups including JPMorgan Chase, Bank of China, Julius Baer. Horyou is a realization of his dream of making technology accessible to all by creating a social networking platform devoted to solidarity and social good.
Yonathan is also one of the founders of the Horyou Foundation, a philanthropic group that promotes active solidarity as a major factor of change for a more harmonious world.
Banking experience influence
I keep great memories, mentors and friends from my journey within the first Bank I joined J.P.Morgan, from an intern position in portfolio management department to later on, years later, grow into Vice President role with Executive responsibility over team members, having learnt how to deliver at the highest standard of fiduciary duty for the families we served from a financial and investment perspective, that experience will for ever constitute a backbone in values, expertise and know how that I have carried in other banking groups like Bank of China or Julius Baer or more recently in supporting Private Equity firm Invest Capital Group conducting Real Estate development in Florida and Texas with both a focus on sustainable building using wood with label while delivering healthy returns for its investor base in two growing US States population wise.
This overall banking journey and experience while demanding was exciting and motivating, but yet at a point in time was somwhow lacking what I would call a deep sense of purpose. I did acquire a sense of responsibility and achievement; I did understand the importance for people to get support for their projects and dreams, but ultimately, I needed to have a sense that my actions were socially meaningful – not just to one person, family or corporation. That my actions’ added value was socially rewarding and could create positive impact around me and beyond. That I could serve a greater purpose fostering a positive circle of interaction between humans from all walk of life, all cultures and support Hope growing to encourage inspiration to be shared in order to “Connect for Good”, that was the start of Horyou journey 12 years ago to advocate for sustainability leveraging technology to support: inclusion, gender equality, diversity, innovation for good and bringing more light to ChangeMakers from around the World, Helping people who are trying and making a difference.
Banking at a high level of responsibility told me I could go beyond that, and to make a difference.
International finance
It’s about globalization of material and financial interests and the imbrication of all sorts of interests on different time frame, short, medium and long term to move them in one main direction: making profit and enabling the Capitalism system to continue to operare while sustaining the overall equilibrium of the world economies at country, corporation or citizen level, while being built with many imbalances as the main objective is maximization instead of sustainability in the way returns are generated. I thought I could use that investment skill I learnt over the years to encourage another vision where finance could favor projects with positive impact at local, national or international levels, encouraging Investments toward inclusion, diversity and innovation for good and favor sustainable development. It’s called Conscious Capitalism and it echo the current 2030 Agenda of the United Nations with the SDGs – standing for Sustainable Development Goals – which while agreed upon by the vast majority of International Community – requiere faster, systematic and more sizeable investments and multistakeholders goodwill to reach its necessary objectives to preserve Life on our Planet for Generations to come and All Life Ecosystem and Species.

Technology for good, goal horyou
Technology is a set of extremely effective tools. More so when they serve a purpose; when they help you create solutions. Fintech, blockchain, AI, Healthech and more are accelerators of Good when use with Vision of Progress for Hunanity. Technology should have a prerequisit with Sustainability as we have reach a point close of no return on Climate and Depletion of sustainble resources. Our role as humans should be to act as Gardiens and Protector of Life and its ecosystems. Some people look at the world and say: it’s too complicated, too late; people are unwilling to share or help. This is not true. Everywhere, we have met people of good will; they are skillful, inspiring and caring for others, and they are socially conscious. What we do, is provide them with a platform to connect and share ideas, propositions, actions. Our next evolution develop by Alphaverse a Multiverse Digital group based and listed in France will be to have Horyou platform evolve into a Horyou Alphaverse (www.horyoualphaverse.com) digital and interactive World where each country, culture and diversity will be represented and will aim at bringing an immersive Web3 experience to discover how beautiful is our Life ecosystem and how it is paramount that technology helps bridge Digital toward Real World Initiatives and Sustainsble Solutions and Actions benefitting All.
Horyou Foundation
Horyou Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Horyou group and the Co-organisator of our International forum SIGEF and SIGEF Women Summit as well as Horyou Village concept. Our Swiss Foundation have been instrumental in giving other NGOs and changemakers numeroys free booth stands in our conference, free documentaries watchable on our Horyou TV channel and shared their Vision and Voice in our International Forum along side the socially impact recognition through our SIGEF Awards since 2014 and our SIGEF Women Awards sincd 2023.

On 17th and 18th of June 2024, SIGEF will come back in Malta for the SIGEF Women Summit, making Malta the Capital of Women Empowerement and connecting Women Changemakers with our International Delegates. The Summit will happen in two prestigious and historical place the Casino Maltese private Club which enjoyed over the years the privilege of having welcomed many a distinguished visitors, of these the Queen Elizabeth II, The Duke of Windsor, Emperor Hirohito of Japan, all of which have been recorded ; and The Phoenicia Malta, known to be a favourite destination of the Queen when she was a Princess in Malta, joining the Ballroom where the summit will happen and have the inspiring stories, testimonials and vision shared to our international delegates and livestreamed attendants.
