On February 16, the 78th BAFTA Awards occurred at the Royal Festival Hall in London.
The Academy named The Conclave the best film: this is the first victory in the primary nomination for Edward Berger’s film this season. Anora star Mikey Madison won Best Actress, ahead of Demi Moore and Fernanda Torres.
The Best Actor award went to Adrien Brody for his role in Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, who was also named Best Director. The Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress awards went again to Kieran Culkin (True Grit) and Zoe Saldana (Emilia Perez).
