Airline Offers 10-Day Trip to Iceland for ‘Worst Photographer’

Icelandair has announced the selection of a participant for its new campaign “Really Bad Photographer”, within the framework of which it is looking for a person with no photography skills to go on a 10-day trip to Iceland.

The company explains that it wants to test whether even someone who does not know how to take pictures can really take good pictures of the country. According to them, despite the availability of cameras on smartphones, in practice, users often get blurry shots, blank photos, or images with a part of the lens accidentally closed.

Icelandair says it aims to prove: “Even the worst photographer can take great photos of Iceland.”

The selected participant is offered a 10-day trip, including round-trip flights, accommodation, and expenses. In addition, a payment of 43 thousand euros is provided in exchange for photo and video content created during the trip.

The campaign is open to people without professional photography experience or a special interest in this art form. At the same time, the participant must be ready to shoot videos and photos, as well as participate in hiking routes and outdoor activities.

Other requirements include being 21 years of age or older, having a valid passport, and being able to travel to Iceland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

You can apply via the campaign website. Candidates must answer six questions about their photography skills, and, if desired, add a 60-second video explaining why they are suitable for participation.
