Sir Anthony Hopkins will release his first classical music album, which he has been composing for 60 years.
The 88-year-old actor has signed a contract with Decca Classics, and his collection “Life Is a Dream” will be released on August 21. The disc will consist of 12 songs, including the single “Bracken Road,” which can already be heard.
“Music was my first desire, my first dream,” says Hopkins. “I’ve been making music my whole life. Some of these pieces have been with me for decades, and I still come back to them.”
Hopkins began playing the piano at the age of 4 and, as they say, began performing works by Beethoven and Chopin a few years later.
