Apple expands iPhone 16 production to Brazil

Apple has expanded production of the iPhone 16 to Brazil in an effort to reduce its dependence on China.

The Brazilian plant in the city of Jundiaí will be the first to produce the latest iPhone from the very beginning of the production cycle.

The iPhone 16 will be assembled simultaneously in China, India, and Brazil, demonstrating Apple’s strategy to diversify production. Only the basic version of the iPhone 16 will be produced in Brazil, while higher-end models will be imported from China.

Thanks to this strategy, the delay in launching new iPhone models in Brazil has been reduced from one month to one week after the global release.
