Apple and Formula 1 have signed a five-year partnership agreement that provides for the broadcasting of all championships, Grand Prix, and other races on the American company’s resources.
It is emphasized that this decision was made after the global success of the blockbuster produced by Apple Original Films, “F-1: The Movie,” starring Brad Pitt.
Apple TV will provide full coverage of Formula 1 events, including all practice sessions, qualifying sessions, sprint sessions, and Grand Prix races, which will be available to subscribers.
In addition, the company will expand other sports content. A free Apple Sports app will be introduced, offering real-time updates for every qualifying session, sprint, and Grand Prix race throughout the season. It will also offer real-time leaderboards, season driver and constructor standings, live lock screen activity, and a dedicated widget for the iPhone home screen.
