Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour to Co-Curate 2026 Met Gala

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has announced the line-up of co-curators for the 2026 Met Gala. The event will be dedicated to the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition “The Art of Costume.” The co-curators will include singer Beyoncé, actress Nicole Kidman, tennis player Venus Williams, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

This will be Beyoncé’s first appearance at the Met Gala in a decade. She last attended the event in 2016. Kidman and Williams are regular guests at the event.

Anthony Vaccarello and Zoe Kravitz will lead the 2026 Met Gala hosting committee. It will also include Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsaesser, LISA, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Agea Wilson, and Iseult. Additional committee members will be announced at a later date.

“The Art of Costume,” curated by Andrew Bolton, will explore the relationship between clothing and the body. The exhibition will be divided into thematic sections covering different body types: “The Nude,” “The Classical,” “The Aging,” “The Anatomical,” and “The Pregnant.” The exhibition will feature clothing and artwork from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s collection, as well as historical and contemporary pieces from the Costume Institute. It will be the first exhibition to be presented in the new 1,115-square-meter Condé M. Nast Galleries.

The Met Gala is an essential annual benefit event for the museum. The funds raised during the evening support exhibitions, publications, and the Costume Institute’s general activities. The exhibition “The Art of Costume” will run from May 10, 2026, to January 10, 2027. The dress code will be announced at a later date.
