Bitcoin exchange rate exceeds $98 thousand for the first time and updates its historical high

Traders bet on Bitcoin to hit $80,000 in November - Bloomberg

The bitcoin exchange rate has exceeded $98 thousand for the first time, updating its all-time high. Prices on the largest US crypto exchange, Coinbase, are outpacing the growth of the USDT stablecoin pair on the largest crypto market exchanges, Binance and Bybit. According to Coindesk, this probably indicates the dominance of cryptocurrency demand from North American traders.

“Amid a relatively quiet day for equities, investors’ attention is turning to other markets, where bitcoin is approaching the magic $100,000 mark,” said Russ Mould, AJ Bell’s chief investment officer.

Bitcoin prices have risen by about 40% since Donald Trump won the US presidential election. Earlier, he promised to create a favorable regulatory environment for digital assets and form a strategic bitcoin reserve.
