American actor and frontman of the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto, has publicly responded to allegations of sexual harassment and violence.
The 54-year-old artist has completely denied all the facts brought against him, which were made public in a high-profile BBC investigation called Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret.
“I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my life. These allegations are completely and categorically false,” Leto said through his representatives, as quoted by The Hollywood Reporter.
However, the star did not provide any additional arguments in his defense. In the BBC film, about ten women voiced their stories. Four participants in the investigation claimed that at the time of the events in question (between 2002 and 2016), they were actually minors.
The investigators also spoke with two former Thirty Seconds to Mars members. They stated that the team members allegedly knew about Jared Leto’s communication with underage fans and their visits backstage after concerts.
