Dior is preparing to release a new collection created in collaboration with Formula 1 driver and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton.
This is the fashion house’s second collaboration with the athlete. This time, Hamilton’s capsule collection explores “Afrofuturism.” As the driver pointed out, he was inspired to create this collection by traveling to Morocco, Senegal, Mozambique, Benin, and Madagascar.
The champion was so impressed by his stay in Africa that he transferred everything that deeply moved him onto fabric: culture, colors, philosophy, and movement, combining heritage and innovation.
The collection will feature minimalist looks, such as leopard-print tweed bomber jackets, loose pants paired with chunky boots and bucket hats, and vests with graphic patterns.
The capsule collection will be available in the brand’s stores on July 3.
